Which E-Liquid is the Right One for You?

There are thousands of e-liquid brands which are available on the market-some of which contain extremely high proportions of VG, whilst others only contain 50% VG. Most e-liquids have specific flavour profiles, whether they are fruity, creamy, tobacco-blended, sweet or dessert-based. If you are a first time vaper, then there will be the perfect e-liquid which best befits your bespoke requirements.

High VG is a common term which most keen vapers use to demonstrate that an e-liquid has the ability to cause intense cloud production and flavour. These high VG liquids are only used for sub ohm drippers or devices. Any tank with a resistance that reads below 1.0 ohms is essentially termed ‘subohming’, enabling the user to obtain maximum flavour.
50% VG and 50% PG in an e-liquid is aimed at the non-subohm market, and for these kinds of liquids the best device which can be used is a mouth-to-lung device, recreating a cigarette. The majority of e-liquids found for these types of devices have flavourings, but most of the time it is normal, straightforward flavours such as strawberries, apples and raspberries.

The quickest and easiest way in which to find an e-liquid best suited to your particular device and nicotine strength would be to experiment. Many ex-smokers choose to go into vape shops and ask for advice as to which flavour profile would best suit their needs. You could always give liquids a quick blast and then taste them, see what makes them ‘tick’ and if they are something which you think you could vape all day then you have found the perfect product.
Nicotine strengths are an extremely important factor to take into consideration when purchasing e-liquids. For example, you would not require 12mg nicotine strength in a high-powered device, as it would be too much of a throat hit due to the amount of nicotine. As well as this, the pull will occasionally cause headaches because the nicotine content is too much. In sub ohm tanks it is normally recommended to take either 0mg, 3mg (a pleasant feeling on your throat) or 6mg (a more intense hit).

When using a low-powered device such as a pen device it is highly recommended that you take high nicotine because the device has a low power. The e-juice will be vaporized at a slow rate, giving the user less inhale, but because of the high nicotine content it will give them a pleasant scratch, reducing the cravings for a cigarette.

Vaping is entirely subjective, meaning that there is no right or wrong answer. It is totally dependent on the user, and what strength of a hit they personally enjoy, especially in cases where they have stopped smoking 40 cigarettes a day to 3mg, as this will not be nearly enough nicotine to satisfy their cravings.

The best way in which to discover the ideal e-liquid which matches your requirements is to read some flavour descriptions online, pop into your local vape shop and ask them for assistance as to which liquid will suit your device, and just do a little bit of research before making a final decision. If you want to go for an all-day vape then tobacco flavours are fantastic to start off with. Tobacco is a popular choice amongst beginners because they gradually ease them off from smoking actual cigarettes, and it is the most effective way in which you can give up altogether.

Seasoned vapers may be more adventurous as regards the flavours they prefer, hence why there are so many unusual and exciting blends available, with more and more options emerging on the market in recent times. Dessert flavours in particular have experienced a revolution of late, so if you want something a little more interesting than standard blueberry or banana flavours then there is plenty of choice.
